Established in accordance with Decision 91/TTg of the Prime Minister as a pilot model for business groups, Vinataba is now a leading state company in production, manufacture and trading of tobacco products. For over twenty years of operations and development with seventeen members and four joint ventures with international and domestic partners, Vinataba has become a large economic organization with diversified operations and is the principal partner of leading international tobacco companies in production and manufacture of tobacco products in Vietnam.

With an investment capital of over US$100 million and a workforce of more than 12,000 people, Vinataba’s annual earnings reaches over US$800 million and pays state revenues of nearly US$200 million).

In line with integrative and renovation policies of the country, Vinataba hopes to have more opportunities for cooperation with international businesses , particularly in calling for investments in tobacco growing and processing for exports in accordance with the strategy for economic development of Vietnam.
