Tobacco Trading Company , formerly Tobacco Materials
& Services Company, was established in accordance
with Decision 1990 QD/TCCB of The Minister of
Industry on 20 July, 1996.
From 1 January, 2001 onwards, Tobacco Materials
& Services Co. was converted to Tobacco
Trading Company in accordance with Decision
23/TLVN – QD-TC on 17 November, 2000 of the
Chairman of the Board of Vietnam National Tobacco
Company.
On December 26, 2005. The Industry
Minister signed Decision No.4201/QD-BCN,
Transfering Tobacco Trading Company in to a
dependent unit, belonged to the Parent Company -
Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation.
Functions and Activities:
- Trading in many brands of cigarettes.
- Transportation of cigarette materials and
cigarettes.
- Dealing with the other activities under Vinataba’s
policy of delegation of duties. In 2003, The
Company sold more than 230 million packs of
Vinataba brands and some kinds of other quality
brands. The company ’s turnover is 2000 billion
Dong annually and contributed over 60 billion
dong to the State Budget in 2003.
Future development:
- Strive to attain 5-10 % of growth rate in
the next few years.
- Continue to expand the market, diversify
in high quality products and develop multi-functional
business plan in the line with Vinitaba ‘s development
strategy
