Ben Tre cigarette Factory was established on 22 September, 1990.

Starting from 2004, Ben Tre cigarette factory joins Vinataba management.

 

1. Functions and activities:

- Manufacturing cigarettes
- Processing varietiess of tobacco leaf
- Trading in machinery parts
- Own Import and export and on contracts service in tobacco leaf and tobacco machinery.
- Trading cutrag and tobacco materials
- Farming aquatic products
2. The factory has 347 employees working in the following Departments and workshops :

- Accounting & Finance Dept. - Auditing Team
- Planning & Sales Dept. - Primary Department
- Human resource Dept. - Cig Making department
- QC Dept. - Packing department
- Electricity Dept. - Filter rod Making dept
- Technical Dept - Farming aquatic products
- Branch, An Thuy, Binh Dai - Mechanical Dept.
- Leaf growing in Krong Pa  

3. The factory has 20 cigarette wholesalers in Mekong Delta provinces, Central provinces.

4. Investment Capital : VND58 billion – Some machinery is imported from U.K., France and Germany.

- From 1990 to 2003, the factory has been one of the largest contributors to provincial revenues. Average monthly wages for workers are from VND1.5 to 1.7 mln dong. 2003 tax payments to the government reaches 80 bln dong.

- The factory always carries out its humanitarian responsibilities as social insurance, health insurance, life insurance …
