Established in January 1957, the factory has produced
a great variety of tobacco products to supply
Vietnamese and export markets for nearly half
a century. With 1,230-strong workforce and 39
piecesof machinery and equipment, of which are
6,000-stick makers and 250-pack packers, and a
primary line at 2500-kg/hour, one of the most
modern in Vietnam, the factory manufactures 282
mln packs and export 30 mln packs in 2003, generating
earnings of VND766 billion.

The factory is ISO 9001: 2000 certified.
Furthermore, the factory also grows tobacco
for many years in different parts of the North,
contributing a great deal to those local economies
and helping to elleviate poverty for local people.
The factory will continue to modernize its
machinery and equipment, improve technical capabilities
to make the factory one of the best in the country.
