6 State-owned businesses handed over to the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC)

On November 10, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to hand over the Groups and Corporations represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to CMSC. 6 businesses were including Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Vietnam Coal-Mineral Industry Group. Nam (TKV), Vietnam Chemical Corporation (VINACHEM), Vietnam National Petroleum Group (PETROLIMEX), and Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (VINATABA).

These are all high-capitalization Groups/Corporations, in which the State capital holding ratio is currently over 555 trillion VND (equivalent to ½ of the total 19 Corporations under CMSC).

Immediately after Decree 131/2018/ND-CP was promulgated, CMSC actively coordinated with the Ministries and Agencies, that had their businesses transferred, to develop the performance of functions, duties, and powers as prescribed.
