My Dear Comrades and Colleagues,
In the joyful atmosphere of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba), on behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to extend my best wishes and deep gratitude to all Cadres and Employees of our great Vinataba family.
Our impressive accomplishments today have been greatly relying on the invaluable attention of the Party and State leaders, as well as inheriting and promoting major achievements of our generations of leaders, cadres and workers in the stages of overcoming hardships to foster growth. Upon reviewing early years of establishment, we share with their feelings and are grateful for their dedication and contributions in the context of lacking resources.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It can be said that the past four decades have been a period of proud achievements. We have made incredible strides in organizational models, attitudes and awareness, science and technology, market and competition mindset… to gain our position and prestige of the tobacco industry today in Vietnam as well as in the region. More specifically, we have preserved and reached full potential of the unique Vinataba identity in which solidarity, discipline, respect and sharing are placed at the forefront.
We can be proud of our 40-year legacy when meditating on the hardships of the past, reviewing the steps of growth and marking the identity of Vinataba. It encourages us to embrace challenges ahead with optimism. Beside the existing historical problem of input prices of materials, shifting consumption trends and the requirements of digital transformation and going green, starting from 2026, it is expected that there will be a huge challenge for our industry, in terms of drastically increased special consumption tax. All these require us to be more flexible in our production strategy, full application of science and technology; ongoing restructuring of our business model, products and markets.
Dear comrades,
2025 is a crucial year to make every effort for successful organization of the Party Congresses at all levels, towards welcoming the 14th National Party Congress. This is both the foundation, the direction and the driving force for us to strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party organization in all aspects; to enhance the quality of growth so that the flow of Vinataba heritage will grow stronger and stronger in the era of national prosperity.
